Terms of Service

Version v2026-08-01. SayVel, from WebTread LLC.

THE SHORT VERSION

You are buying a subscription to a website that we build, host and keep running for you, plus AI editing you can use to change it whenever you like. The plan, the price, and whether you pay monthly or yearly are shown on the checkout screen before you pay. It renews automatically at that price until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time, in one click, from your own account. There is no phone call and nothing to talk you out of it. When you cancel you choose what happens next: pause, and we hold everything and keep your site served for twelve months while you decide, free, with one click to put it back; or close it outright. Either way your content stays with us, intact, until you tell us to delete it, which you can do whenever you want to. Your first month pays for building your site and is not refundable (billing mistakes and a site that does not do what we said are covered in section 6). On a yearly plan we refund within thirty days of your first purchase, less one month at the monthly price, unless you take a Site Backup in that time, which ends the refund because your site has been delivered. A business gets that refund once, and a refunded site goes offline. A renewal does not open a new window, and after that we do not refund time you have already bought. If the law where you live gives you more, you get it. If a payment fails we suspend the site rather than close your account, and a suspension that never gets sorted out lands in the same free pause, because we do not take somebody's website away over money they do not have. AI editing is metered, so each edit spends one credit from your plan's monthly allowance. What is on your site is yours. The repository we build and run it in is ours and stays ours. You can copy your public site for free. You can also build a Site Backup, a zip of your pages, yourself from your account at any time. Free ones start once you have paid for a second month, or after thirty days on a yearly plan: one in any twelve months while you are paying, and one more when you leave. A free one on Starter or Business shows plain placeholders where images we made or chose were; Pro and any backup you pay for include them. Any other Site Backup costs a flat price in dollars, shown before you pay. What you gave us is always a free download.

That is a summary, not a substitute. The numbered sections below are the agreement, and where the two read differently the numbered sections are what governs.

1. WHO THIS IS BETWEEN

SayVel is a product of WebTread LLC. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean WebTread LLC, and "you" means the person or the business buying a plan. If you are agreeing to this on behalf of a company, you are telling us you have the authority to do that. You need to be at least 18.

2. WHAT YOU ARE BUYING

A SayVel plan is a subscription to a working website. It covers the site itself, hosting and delivery of it on Cloudflare's network, the SayVel editor you use to change it, and a monthly allowance of AI edit credits.

Plans come at three levels: Starter, Business and Pro. What is included at each level is listed on our plans page, and the level you picked and what it costs are shown on the checkout screen before you pay. What is listed there is what you get. One plan covers one website.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

You sign in with a link we email you, so there is no password to lose or leak. That also means anyone who can read your email can reach your account, so keep that mailbox secure and tell us quickly if you think somebody else has gotten in. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. PRICE, BILLING, AND AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

Read this section even if you skip the others. It is the one about money leaving your card.

Your plan renews automatically. We charge the payment method you gave us at the start of every new billing period, at the price you were shown when you bought, and we keep doing that until you cancel. A monthly plan charges every month on the day you claimed your site. An annual plan charges once a year on that same date. You pay nothing to see a demo of your site. You pay when you claim it, and that payment starts your first billing period.

Annual is a trade: you pay for ten months and get twelve. Those two free months are the whole of the discount, and you get them by paying for the year up front. Section 5 explains what happens if you leave before the year is out.

We email a receipt for every charge, and every receipt links back to your account, where cancelling takes one click.

Prices do not include sales tax. Where we are required to collect it, it is added at checkout and shown to you before you pay.

If a payment fails we will try again and email you. If it keeps failing we suspend your site, which means it stops being published until the payment is sorted out. Suspended is our word and it only ever means one thing: a payment did not go through. It is not the same as pausing, which is your choice and is free and is described in section 5.

If a suspension never gets sorted out, we stop trying to charge you and your account lands in a pause. It does not close. We will not close an account because somebody owes us money, and we will not delete anybody's work over a failed payment. People run out of money, and it is usually the worst month of their year when it happens. People end up in hospital, and a website stops being the most important thing in their life for a while. A card expires and the replacement takes a week to turn up. None of that is a reason to lose your website. So an unresolved suspension turns into the same free, held, twelve month pause anyone can choose, and one click puts it back whenever you are ready.

We can change prices for new customers whenever we like. If we change the price of a plan you are already on, we will tell you in writing before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

5. CANCELLING, PAUSING, AND WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR MONEY

You can cancel at any time, in one click, from your own account, in the same place you signed up. There is no phone call to make, no email to write, and no sequence of screens asking you to reconsider. Leaving is as easy as arriving, and we would rather you left cleanly than felt stuck.

When you cancel you choose one of two things.

PAUSE. Your site goes dark and everything is held exactly as you left it: your pages, your words, your images, your settings. We keep your site served for twelve months from the day you pause, so a link somebody already has still works. After twelve months the site comes down and your content stays with us, intact. One click puts the whole thing back, at whatever the price is then. Pausing is free, always.

Pause is your word and your decision. It is not the same thing as a suspension, which is ours and only ever means a payment did not go through. Section 4 covers that, and a suspension nobody manages to sort out ends up here, in a pause, rather than in a closed account.

While you are paused we email you four times and then we stop: after one month, after three, after six, and at eleven months. The last one tells you the site comes down the following month unless you restart it, so the twelve month mark never arrives as a surprise.

CLOSE IT OUTRIGHT. We stop serving your site and we stop billing you, and your content is still not deleted. Nothing you gave us is erased until you ask us to erase it. When you ask, we do it properly and without an argument.

Either way, we do not delete your work to punish you for leaving. If you want a copy of your site before you go, section 8 explains how, and when a Site Backup is free.

YOUR WORK, AND WHO DECIDES WHAT HAPPENS TO IT

When the twelve months are up and the site comes down, what we are holding does not turn into a backup nobody can read. Your pages, your words, your images and your settings stay in the shape they were in, so if you come back next year or in five years we can put your site together again quickly and get it running rather than starting from a blank page.

We keep it for two reasons and there is no third one. The first is that if you ever have to leave, we would rather be able to serve you properly on the way out than tell you it is gone. The second is that if you decide to come back, everything is waiting for you.

You decide when that ends. Ask us to delete your content and we delete it, wholeheartedly, with no conversation about whether you are sure and nobody trying to talk you round. Today you ask by email to support@sayvel.com from the address on your account, and we are building a control into your own account so you can do it yourself without asking anybody. Section 9 of our privacy policy explains the three things deletion cannot reach and why: a website's version history, the record of what you agreed to on the day you bought, and the refund fingerprints below. To enforce the one-refund rule we keep one-way fingerprints of the card, email and domain of a refunded business for three years; they survive deletion.

THE MONEY

Your first month pays for building your site, and it is not refundable, except as section 6 says. We charge it when you claim your site, not before, so looking at a demo of your site costs nothing. On a monthly plan that first payment is the first month.

On a yearly plan, we refund within thirty days of your first purchase. Change your mind inside that window and we give the payment back, less the price of one month on the monthly plan at the same level, which paid for building your site. That window opens once, when you first buy from us. A renewal does not open it again. Thirty days is the only refund window we have, and it belongs to yearly plans. Section 6 covers our mistakes. Taking a Site Backup (section 8) inside that window ends the refund, because by then we have delivered your site.

A business gets this thirty-day refund once. If we have already given your business this refund, under any account, there is not a second one. Refunds for our mistakes (section 6) and refunds when we end your account (section 13) do not count and do not take your site offline. A thirty-day refund ends your plan, and your site goes offline as if you had closed it. If you think we matched you to the wrong business, write support@sayvel.com and a person decides.

After thirty days we do not refund time you have already bought. A monthly plan runs to the end of the month you paid for. A yearly plan runs to the end of the year you paid for, or pauses, or closes, whichever you pick, and the part of the year you did not use is not refunded. If the law where you live gives you a refund these terms do not, you get that refund. Add-ons on top of a plan bill monthly, and one you stop runs to the end of the month you paid for.

We settled on that after looking at what the rest of the world actually does rather than at what sounds generous. Your power company does not refund the month you were away. The website builders we compete with refund inside a short window near the purchase and not a day past it. What makes people angry, and what they write about afterwards, is not being able to leave. It is not the money for time nobody used. So we made leaving instant and free, we made the refund window a real one a person can actually use, and we stopped there.

6. OTHER REFUNDS

Section 5 covers the ordinary case, and for most people it is the only part of this that will ever apply.

Beyond it: if we billed you wrong, we will fix it and refund the difference. If the product does not do what we said it does, that is ours and not yours. Tell us and we will make it right, and if we cannot make it right we will refund you. These promises cover every payment you make, the first month included.

A refund is net of the AI editing you actually used in the period being refunded. That is a real cost already spent with our AI providers on your behalf, and it does not come back to us either. This deduction applies to refunds under this section only. The thirty-day refund in section 5 already keeps the first month instead.

If you are unhappy, tell us before you tell your bank. We answer quickly, and we would much rather solve it than argue about it.

7. AI EDITING AND CREDITS

AI editing is metered, and your plan includes an allowance of credits each month. One edit is one credit, whatever its size. A credit is spent only when a change is actually applied to your site, so asking a question, previewing a change, or undoing one costs nothing. Allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over. You can buy extra credits at any time. Running out never takes your site down and never blocks you in the middle of something.

AI gets things wrong. Look at what it produced before you publish it, because what is on your website is your responsibility rather than the model's.

To make an edit, we send your instruction and the relevant parts of your site to the AI providers we use. Text and images the AI produces for you are yours to keep and use. A free Site Backup on Starter or Business does not package them (section 8); you can still save them from your live site.

8. YOUR CONTENT, YOUR SITE, AND THE REPOSITORY

Your content is yours. Your domain is yours. If you leave we will not hold either one hostage, and section 5 says exactly what happens to your work when you go.

The repository is ours and stays ours. Your site is built from a private git repository that we create and run. It holds your content and settings. The machinery that turns them into a website lives in our platform and is shared by every site, so the repository on its own is not a website you could take somewhere else. We do not hand it over, for a fee or on request.

Your site itself, you can take. Your published site is public, so you may copy or save it by any means you like, including your own tools or AI agents, and we charge nothing for that. If you would rather have it packaged, you have two self-serve downloads, below. Use them at any time from your account. You never have to ask us, and nothing goes through support.

Site Backup. A zip of your built website: the finished pages (HTML), styles (CSS), scripts (JS) and images. Unzip it and put it on any host that serves static files, and your pages, styles, scripts and images will display. Anything that needs our platform will not work there: the editor, the AI helper, and features with a server behind them, such as contact forms, bookings, and payments. Before you confirm, we show you which of your site's features will need replacing if you host it elsewhere. You can build one in any account state, as long as we still hold your content. If your site is not live, it is built from the last version you published.

What a Site Backup costs. Free ones start once you have paid for your second month, or on a yearly plan, once the thirty-day refund window in section 5 has closed. You can buy one sooner. On a yearly plan, taking any Site Backup in your first thirty days ends your refund, because by then we have delivered your site. We say this on the pay screen, before you pay. If you leave before your second payment, unless we closed your account, your first Site Backup costs the flat price; copying your public site stays free.

After that, while you are paying, one Site Backup per site in any twelve months is free. When you leave you get one more, free, even if you already used one in the last twelve months. You leave when you cancel, when your account is paused for non-payment, or when we close it for any reason other than abuse (fraud and refund abuse count as abuse). If we close it, the free one is yours in any month. If you were refunded, there is no free one on the way out. Take it while we still hold your content.

Any other Site Backup costs a flat price in dollars, shown before you pay. Nothing is charged until you confirm. You may pay with AI credits from your plan (section 7) instead, and we show that number too. If a Site Backup is damaged or missing something we said it would have, we fix it or give back what you paid. If the law where you live does not let us charge for this, we will not.

If your site began as a copy. If we built your site from a website that already existed, we ask you to show you control that domain once, before your first Site Backup: your account email is at that domain, or you add a DNS TXT record, or you point the nameservers at us, or you write support@sayvel.com and a person reviews other proof. That keeps anyone from using us to take a copy of a business that is not theirs. You can always copy your public site and download what you gave us without this step, and cancelling never needs it.

What you gave us. Separately, you can always download what you gave us, free, in any account state, while we hold it: your answers to our questions about your business, and the bookings and orders taken through your site. Each file you uploaded also has its own free download link, at original size. Messages from your site's contact form pass through a form service we use (named in our privacy policy) on their way to the email address on your account. We do not keep a copy. The service has its own terms and may keep one.

A check first. You sign in with an emailed link (section 3), so for either download we send a confirmation to the email on your account, and the file comes by a link that expires soon.

Privacy rights. Nothing here limits your rights under privacy law to get a copy of personal information we hold about you. Ask support@sayvel.com and we answer those requests free of charge.

What the files let you do. We license you the files in a Site Backup, including our compiled styles and scripts, to host, copy, and change for your own website. The license is permanent and costs nothing more, even if you cancel. Your host and contractors may handle the files for that purpose. You may not sell, sublicense, or share them, or use them as a template for anyone else's site. We keep ownership of our code and designs.

Images and fonts. Files you uploaded are yours, and you told us you have the right to use them. Every Site Backup includes them. On the Pro plan, and in any Site Backup you pay for, it also includes the images we made for your site and the stock photos we chose that you are licensed to use, and the notes file lists anything left out. Pro means the plan you are on when you build the Site Backup, or the plan you were on when you left. A free Site Backup on Starter or Business puts a plain placeholder of the same size wherever one of our images was, so your pages keep their shape. We include stock photos, AI-generated images and fonts only where their licenses let you use them on your own website, and we list anything left out in the notes file in the zip. We do not promise that AI-generated images can be copyrighted or that no one else holds rights in them. Anything you add or swap afterward is your responsibility.

Every change to your site, ours or yours, is recorded with a date in that repository's history, and we will show you that history if you ask. That is a real part of the product and it is not going anywhere.

So that we can actually run the service, you give us permission to store, copy, publish, change and display your content, for the purpose of building, hosting, editing, deploying and backing up your site, and for as long as we are doing that for you. That permission exists to run your website and nothing else. We do not sell your content and we do not use it to advertise to anybody.

You are telling us you have the right to everything you give us, including photos, logos, fonts and text.

Your site runs on Cloudflare and its repository is at GitHub. Both are separate companies with their own terms, but your agreement for this service is with us.

9. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO

Do not use SayVel to break the law, to infringe somebody else's copyright or trademark, to pretend to be someone you are not, to defraud people, to send bulk unsolicited email, to distribute malware, to run phishing, to attack or scan other systems, or to mine cryptocurrency. Do not resell the platform without a partner agreement with us. Do not deliberately overload the shared systems that everybody's sites run on.

If a site does one of those, we can take it down. Where it is safe to do so we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where something is illegal or actively dangerous we will act first and tell you after.

10. COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS

If you believe something we host infringes your copyright, write to us and we will look at it and act. If somebody infringes repeatedly, we close their account.

11. UPTIME, CHANGES, AND THINGS WE DO NOT CONTROL

We work hard to keep your site up and it runs on one of the largest networks in the world. We do not sell an uptime guarantee, and we would rather say that here than imply one we would not honor.

We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something material that your plan included, we will tell you, and you can cancel under section 5.

We are not responsible for outages caused by things outside our control, including your domain registrar, changes you make yourself, or a failure at a provider we depend on.

We keep every version of your site, and we keep your content after you leave for as long as you want us to, so very little is ever actually lost here. Keeping your own copy of anything you could not stand to lose is still a good idea.

12. SUPPORT

Support is by ticket, and it is answered. We do not run a phone room, and building one would show up in the price.

13. IF WE HAVE TO END IT

We can suspend an account for not paying. We can suspend or close one for section 9, or for using the service in a way that puts us or other customers at risk. Except where something is illegal or urgent, we will tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to put it right.

Not paying never closes an account. A suspension for money lands in a pause under sections 4 and 5, your work is held there, and it is still yours to restore or delete whenever you want.

If we close your account for any reason other than abuse, we refund the unused part of what you have paid (the first month too, if we close within it), and we hold your content the way section 5 describes rather than deleting it. You get at least 60 days from the day we email you to get out anything you need, and the Site Backup in section 8 is free for as long as we hold your content.

If we ever stop running SayVel altogether, we will email every customer as far ahead as we reasonably can, and the Site Backup in section 8 is free for every site from that email until we stop.

14. PARTNERS

Some people sell SayVel: agencies who resell it under their own name, and creators who refer customers to us. That is a separate agreement with a separate signer, and it changes nothing in this one. If you came to us through somebody's link, you are our customer on these terms, at the same price as everybody else.

If your site is billed by an agency rather than by us, your billing agreement is with them. If that agency stops paying us, we will contact you and move you onto our own billing rather than switching your site off.

15. PRIVACY

How we handle personal data is covered by our privacy policy, at https://app.sayvel.com/privacy/v2026-10-21/, which forms part of this agreement.

16. WHAT WE DO NOT PROMISE

We provide the service as it is. Beyond what we have actually promised in these terms, and as far as the law allows, we do not make other warranties about it, including that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or suited to a particular purpose you have in mind. Some places do not allow that, and where they do not, this paragraph does not apply to you.

17. THE LIMIT ON WHAT WE OWE YOU

If something goes wrong and we owe you money, the most we owe you is what you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or other indirect losses. None of this limits anything that cannot be limited by law.

18. IF YOU CAUSE US A PROBLEM

If somebody comes after us because of your content or the way you used the service, you will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

19. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

These terms are versioned, and every version we have ever published stays published at its own permanent address. The version you agreed to at checkout is the version that applies to you, and we never edit a version after it goes live. If we change something, that is a new version. It applies going forward and never backwards, and if a change is material to a plan you are already on we will tell you before it applies, so you can cancel first.

20. THE LAW, AND WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DISAGREE

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, where WebTread LLC is formed, without regard to its rules about which law applies.

If we disagree about something, tell us first at the address in section 22 and give us thirty days to put it right. Most problems end there. If yours does not, either of us may take it to the state or federal courts in Arizona, and you may always use a small claims court where you live if your claim qualifies. There is no arbitration clause and no class action waiver in these terms.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away the protection of the consumer laws of the place where you live, or your right to bring a claim in your own local courts.

21. THE REST

These terms never take away a right the law gives you. Wherever the law gives you more than they do, you get what the law gives.

If part of this turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given it up. You cannot transfer this agreement without our consent. We can transfer it if the business is sold, and we would tell you. This document, together with what you were shown on the checkout screen and our privacy policy, is the whole agreement between us, and it replaces anything said beforehand.

Notices to you go to the email address on your account. Notices to us go to the address in section 22.
